Autumn in New York

Ive always been more of an Autumn/Winter girl, and New York is just perfect during the fall. I hope to wake up to this colder and breezier weather everyday! Thanks to my best friends mom Marlene, (who is like a second mother to me, miss you!) for reminding me about a wonderful song that describes just what I'm feeing all day for a while now, and hope to feel this way longer  = ) Billie Holiday's classic song sets the mood and is one of my all time favorites! What is your feel-good song for Autumn?

Runway Love : Elie Saab Fall 2010 Couture

Bless you Elie Saab for presenting such a wonderful couture collection and letting women sit back and fall into daydreams. As each and every one of us dream of ourselves in one of your masterpieces, wining and dining at the Opera, or walking down the red carpet, this fall collection brings out the rich socialite daydreams, confidence and couture in each sequined, beaded and draped gown. On a side note, I'm not used to seeing gowns that are conservative where the shoulders and full length sleeves are present without looking frumpy, but conservative has become sexy this fall 2010...here are some of my favorites, enjoy!

Tommy Hilfiger

An American legend has finally made his way back onto the fashion scene! I have to confess though, I thought he had given up for good = (....anyway, as a pre-teen (and gong through a serious tomboy phase), I used to be obsessed with this brand! I used to own a couple of sports wear items and baggy T-shirts with his logo on it. Now years later, its so refreshing to see a comeback from Mr. Hilfiger and hope he sticks around. Love his "Ultimate Tailgaters" campaign that I saw in the new issue of Glamour, and put up a few of my favorites from his ready to wear Fall/Winter 2010 "Preppy with a Pop" runway collection.

Both outfits are fantastic but the belted black long vest-looking dress won me over!

I absolutely adore the peacock color and structure of the skirt with the camel sweater.

Perfect balance here, toned down grey pants with a bright "happy" orange button down!

Don't you love how the skinny orange belt brought out the rest of the prints and texture?

Blazer & Coach Amour

I really should update my blog with any free time I get, I promise to from now on! Whether its short and sweet or a novel length enlightening passage of thoughts from my mind typed onto my page for you, word by word! Tonight before going to bed, I was really hoping to wake up tomorrow and look forward to wearing a blazer with full length boyfriend fit jeans and try another sad attempt at trotting around public in heels that are over 2 inches without showing any strain on my face.... then i realized its still too hot to wear an outfit like this! I don't mean to sound impatient but its nearly the end of July and I'm kind of ready to update my wardrobe for fall...it is after all my favorite season of the year! Ive always been a fall/winter girl. I literally get dozens or ideas for pairing looks for this season and cant wait to share them all with you. As for my following fashion set, Ive chosen to keep it simple and true to what I would wear. I'm always about two things when it comes to presenting myself through what i wear. Simplicity to bring yourself out and not let your clothes overpower YOU, and accessorize your Personality and always always always keep it balanced!
