Holiday Touch

I love the holiday season! I don't celebrate Christmas (Bengali Muslim here!) but that never stopped me from singing along to Christmas tunes or exchanging gifts with my best friends. NYC is also my favorite place to be during this season, the tree at Rockefeller Center and ice skating with holiday classics playing in public. Love the holiday spirit! What I love even more, are chic decor for parties, you don't have to spend a fortune just to wow your guests but get inspired by the black and white collection below that I love, by Carolyne Roehm. I love her book, Passion for Parties in which she provides breathtaking photos, tips and menus of fabulous soiree's shes hosted. If you ever pick up a copy, be sure to check out the "Hunt Ball" and her take on a Halloween party. Breathtaking and original! All photos courtesy of www.carolyneroehm.com

What colors or decorations do you prefer for your holiday party?

GQ: Scott Disick

I hate to give credit to any grown man who refuses to take responsibility for his actions, time and time again and puts it on display for national TV. However, I cant deny this man knows how to dress well. Sometimes I even think of Miami Vice when I see his outfits with bright pink or purple blazers with pastel button downs(he can't get away with everything!). Sadly his great taste in clothing makes up for his free loading and non-stop partying lifestyle when it comes to wearing a sharp suit or casual wear. So, cheers to you Scott. Ugh

Barbie

Thank you, RUTH HANDLER for introducing Barbie to us in March of 1959. We have worshiped her every outfit, hairstyle, cars (maybe even Ken) and eternal style as our Barbie Dolls. Sadly, I do not own any Barbie dolls anymore but am gladly toting a rather fabulous Patricia Field for Barbie clutch that my baby sister gifted to me on my birthday last year and proudly still use it! I would however like to start a collection, starting with the vintage to over the top designer dolls below...what I love most about each designer outfit with the hair and makeup on each doll...is that she is immortalized. I always did have a flair for the dramatic!

Tribute Barbie Doll $150
Holiday 2010 Barbie $39.95
Bob Mackie Golden Legacy Barbie Doll $120
Bob Mackie Circus Barbie Doll $175
Cleopatra Barbie Doll $100
J'ADORE!!

My darling clutch! Its a great conversation starter hehe
More Barbie to come!!

Twirl

Do you ever come across a fashion campaign while flipping through a magazine that is so pretty, so dreamy and so fantastic that you end up staring at it and just smile? Kate Spade's fall campaign for her new fragrance Twirl did just that to me. The first photo was a fabulous party scene, with confetti rain and the cutest couple smiling. The model is wearing a gold sequin dress and her date has to be the cutest guy in frames Ive ever seen. I'd like for my new year's eve party to look exactly like that haha! Sequin dress, hot date, confetti rain and all!

House of Harlow

Nicole Richie, I've forgotten all about your scandalous past, running around with Paris Hilton in that guilty pleasure of a reality show (that was actually popular)......to flashing cameras for fun. That is since you've grown up, had 2 gorgeous kids and came out with your own line of amazing jewelry/accessories. I absolutely love everything from House of Harlow and love that some of the pieces does not cost an arm or leg, but very well reasonably priced. Heres a glimpse of some of her designs for those of you who haven't seen the the gorgeous designs yet.

Elie Saab Spring 2011

Its official, Elie Saab is now one of my favorite designers. He IS fashion. The entire collection is wonderful but how can I post every single design? Sharing about 24 is enough, haha! To me, this was a more modern, sexier and much more wearable version of the 70's, Studio 54 fashion. I lust after every dress that is worn with a jacket! Something that will be incorporated into my wardrobe soon. Which of these design/color is your favorite?

Dolled Up: Christian Dior Spring 2011

40's hair, bold makeup and a killer smile. Sure, some of the eye shades are a bit too bold (not to mention seriously bright) for my taste but I loved every shade of red lipstick used on every model. Now, how does one get silky, coiffed hair as the Dior models backstage? I'd like to know! I love that so much detail goes into the little things for fashion shows, even the hair and makeup and goes perfectly with the collection.

The genius. Oh were not worthy!! <3
