House of Waris
Waris Ahluwalia has taken over the fashion scene with his up and coming, luxurious jewelry line called House of Waris and I am head over heels in love with this flame bracelet with black diamonds from this site. I may not be a Sikh, but I cant help but feel so proud of a fellow new yorker especially one who I share my hometown, Brooklyn with. Also, living in a predominately Sikh neighborhood in Queens, it's wonderful to see someone in the desi community with different taste and sharing it with the fashion world. Sighhhh!!

Uggs for Jimmy Choo
Ahhhh, the winter boot that so many people have come to criticize for so long until realizing its a wardrobe staple for those snowy days. To me, Uggs are a love/hate thing. I was lucky enough to purchase my very first pair (Rockstar Uggs) at $50 on clearance from Lord & Taylor years ago. Yes, you read right- I spent 50 bucks, I got lucky considering they were worth $260 at the time. I like Uggs, very much actually because it has made my life and happier feet much easier to enjoy the cold and snowy weather of NY, but not to the point where Id spend over $100 for every new color or design that came out. Speaking of which, this particular Ugg boot caught my eye on the web. Even though they have teamed up with Jimmy Choo for a seasonal boot, would you shell out nearly $600 for something that looks like this? Oh and fyi, there is only 1 way to wear Uggs and it is the very last picture below!

Tres Chic
It was those studded suitcases that stole my full attention, so I searched for a few more items under "shabby chic" and came up with this collage! I daydream to have every single item here in my own "future apartment". Not much fashion here except for this random Carrie Bradshaw outfit with a Parisian backdrop in which I envisioned myself wearing while walking around Paris to purchase everything I found... why do I always steer towards something French? = )

Naeem Khan
Naeem Khan's Fall 2010 runway show is one of my favorites. I swear this man knows exactly what women want to wear when they choose to sparkle among a crowd instead of being cornered, in a boring and mundane cocktail dress. These are some of my favorites, because of the amplified beading, sequins and layered jewelry. He found a great balance between simplicity and glamorous. How can one find balance between two complete opposite styles? Hmmm, Id say the fourth dress of the third row is a perfect example of a seemingly simple champagne colored floor length gown and is glamorous with ostrich feathers and complete with a tulle bow. The rest are stunning as well!

Louis Vuitton
When it comes to the fashion house LOUIS VUITTON, could Marc Jacobs be anymore of a genius? I only wish he applied some of this brilliance to his own line that Ive just been......losing interest in more. Slowly and slowly. However, the Fall 2010 campaign featuring supermodels Christy Turlington, Natalia Vodianova & Karen Elson is amazing, so ladylike! The 50's silhouette is back and is my absolute favorite style on a woman. I love that Marc is showcasing a real womans body with full on curves and cleavages (thin models are gasping everywhere!!)

Autumn in New York
Ive always been more of an Autumn/Winter girl, and New York is just perfect during the fall. I hope to wake up to this colder and breezier weather everyday! Thanks to my best friends mom Marlene, (who is like a second mother to me, miss you!) for reminding me about a wonderful song that describes just what I'm feeing all day for a while now, and hope to feel this way longer = ) Billie Holiday's classic song sets the mood and is one of my all time favorites! Black Swan
Has anyone seen the trailer for Black Swan yet? I have to be honest and admit that I thought Natalie Portman was a great actress in Goya's Ghosts, Closer, V for Vendetta and then kind of mediocre in New York, I Love You. However, I don't think i can even wait till Dec 1st, when her new movie comes out because she pretty much won me over, just watching the trailer! Vincent Cassell (SWOON), and Mila Kunis is also in it, and looks beautiful as always but I'm curious to see her as a ballerina. Good thing I didn't bother watching the other psychological thriller Gothika because Ive got a gut feeling it wont even hold a candle to this film. I know this movie will also make a huge impact in the fashion world like Alice in Wonderland did as well, I can see all fashion students now using the concept of a swan onto paper or mannequin. With that said, its only natural that I felt inspired (collage wise) and put together a few pieces for you to get inspired by. Be daring and put some feathered pieces into your wardrobe!
